Dear Friends and Supporters of Hokyoji,
I am writing to you on behalf of the Board of Directors to let you know that Hokyoji’s Guiding Teacher Dokai Georgeson will be taking a six-month personal leave of absence effective October 27, 2025. The Board fully supports Dokai in this decision.
The Hokyoji Practice Council will assume Dokai’s duties in his absence. The Practice Council was established by Dokai to assist him in the performance of his duties and currently consists of Associate Teachers Kyoku Tracey Walen, Onryu Laura Kennedy, Keido Jeromy Thotland, and Jushin Stephyn Butcher. They have worked alongside and in collaboration with Dokai and we are confident they will provide seamless practice leadership.
