Volunteer work helps support Hokyoji, and can be a rewarding part of practice. To inquire about volunteering, please email us at hokyoji@hokyoji.org
Hokyoji can always use help hosting guests during group events. A major area of need is in the kitchen, as groups often request meal service. And at any event, setup, cleanup, and general support are helpful and appreciated.
Hokyoji has several committees that can always use new people and their energy. These include but are not limited to: the outreach committee, the fundraising committee, and the Retired Leaders Fund committee
Maintenance, both indoors and outdoors, is always needed. Carpentry, land management, gardening, weeding, general repair – these are just some examples of the wide variety of work available. Give us a call and find out how you can help!
Elections for board members are held once a year, with members typically taking on a three-year commitment. There are always spots opening up on the board. Fresh members keep the organization from getting stuck in a rut or locked into old ways of thinking.
